Not So Super Halftime Show

I just don’t get it. Based only on the production values and music, I would have to say that the halftime show was not as unwatchably bad as some in the past have been. What I don’t understand is why such talented women found it necessary to degrade themselves and all women in graphically suggestive displays. There were portions of that so-called dance routine that would have been more appropriate at Tony Soprano’s strip club than in this venue.

Before you dismiss me and those of us who found this objectionable let’s not forget that millions of kids were watching this. If the intention was to guarantee that the next generation will continue to objectify women as commodities whose chief value lies in their appeal to the libido, then congratulations, you have certainly helped to move that ball forward.
