Random thoughts, opinions, ideas and prognostications on the day's events.

Hey but don’t worry, DiBlasio is keeping us safe from those psychopathic deli owners who leave their doors open in the middle of the day.

Thirteen people were shot — three fatally — in eight separate incidents across the city Wednesday and Thursday, according to police. Most recently, a 32-year-old man was blasted in the torso at East 181st Street and Valentine Avenue in the West Bronx neighborhood around 3:30 a.m., cops said. He reported simply hearing shots and feeling pain — and went to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, according to cops. A possible second victim walked himself into the same hospital with a gunshot wound to his left leg, authorities said.
