When Rush first began to get national attention I was already a regular listener to his program. I was a courier at the time and spent 12-15 hours a day behind the wheel of my car. I could always count on three of those hours flying by as I drove all over Long Island on my bank run. The intelligence and humor of Rush’s presentation was addicting but what really got my attention was his perspective on the news. At a time when there was no Fox News or Newsmax or OAN or Blaze or any of the Conservative outlets we have today, Rush launched talk radio into the spotlight of public awareness. And it drove the Liberals nuts. Their monopoly was broken and people began to drift away from blind acceptance of the drivel they were being spoon fed by the MSM, especially when it came to the Clintons and the Democrats.
Rush was a trailblazer and he was hated by the Left. He exposed their phony moral superiority for what it truly is-elitism and their phony compassion for a trap of perpetual victimhood to keep the votes coming. He asked questions the MSM would not ask and he did not care whos ox was being gored. Few people are truly irreplaceable in their chosen field but Rush was one of those people. I will miss him. Rest in Peace Rush.
