ACTUALLY THIS IS NOT QUITE TRUE

In actuality, the world in the 1930s and early 1940s reacted to the German atrocities pretty much as the world reacts to China’s today. Let’s be honest. Much of the world gave a collective shrug to the reports coming out of Nazi-occupied Europe even while we were at war with Germany. It wasn’t until all those newsreels started showing what allied troops found when the camps were liberated that the world’s conscience became outraged. In many ways our world sadly has not changed all that much.
