Hong Kong police fire tear gas, water cannon amid protests

While the world is distracted by COVID-19 Red China continues to demonstrate what they are really about.

Hong Kong police fired tear gas and a water cannon as thousands took to the streets Sunday — as controversial new security laws from China aimed at crushing the protests sparked the most intense clashes in months. Crowds of pro-democracy demonstrators dressed in black gathered in a popular shopping district, chanting slogans such as “Stand with Hong Kong,” “Liberate Hong Kong” and “Revolution of our times.” The protest did not receive official authorization — and broke local coronavirus social-distancing restrictions, which ban groups of more than eight people meeting. Police raised blue flags, warning protesters to disperse, before firing multiple rounds of tear gas — then firing from a water cannon.

A Prayer We Can All Offer For The Second Sunday Of Lent

Susan Rice, James Comey, John Brennan Backing Joe Biden

Some people will do anything to stay out of jail. Even support some senile old white guy for the Presidency.

Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser, tweeted: I’m proud to endorse @JoeBiden for President,” along with a picture of them hugging. “No one is better prepared and more trusted by our allies to repair the incalculable damage Trump has done to our int’l standing and national security. Rice became embroiled in the Benghazi scandal, after she claimed in TV interviews that an anti-Islam video sparked the September 11, 2012, terrorist attack against a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Her claim was later proven not to be true. Rice was also a proponent of the U.S. intervention in Libya in 2011, which allowed for the Islamic State to move in and solidify a foothold. John Brennan, Obama’s CIA director, also came out the same day to back Biden. “Joe Biden is one of the most honest, decent, practical, & experienced individuals with whom I have ever worked. If nominated & elected, he is capable of unifying our country & restoring America’s standing around the world,” he tweeted.

Schumer’s Idiotic Comments Were Bad But Not The Worst By Far

The slaughter of innocents is often celebrated by those who have convinced them selves that such barbarism is justified and necessary. The volume of the shouting does not make it so.

Repeal the Patriot Act – LewRockwell

This article by Judge Napolitano is eye-opening and well worth the read.

I have been writing for years about the dangers to human freedom that come from government mass surveillance. The United States was born in a defiant reaction to government surveillance. In the decade preceding the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the villains were the Stamp Act and the Writs of Assistance Act. Today, the villain is the Patriot Act. Here is the backstory. In 1765, when the British government was looking for creative ways to tax the colonists, Parliament enacted the Stamp Act. That law required all persons in the colonies to purchase stamps from a British government vendor and to affix them to all documents in one’s possession. These were not stamps as we use today, rather they bore the seal of the British government. The vendor would apply ink to the seal and for a fee — a tax — impress an image of the seal onto documents. All documents in one’s possession — financial, legal, letters, books, newspapers, pamphlets, even posters destined to be nailed to trees — required the government stamps. How did the British government, 3,000 miles away, know if one had its stamps on one’s documents? Answer: The Writs of Assistance Act. A writ of assistance was a general warrant issued by a secret court in London. A general warrant does not specifically describe the place to be searched or the person or thing to be seized. It merely authorized the bearer — a civilian or military government official — to search where he wished and seize whatever he found.

Blacklist 2.0: Hollywood Cancels Trump Supporter Sabato – Hollywood in Toto

Joe McCarthy is long dead, but Hollywood is working hard to keep his legacy alive. This is just another example of how the Left is anti-freedom, anti-free speech, and anti-diversity. Much like ANTIFA uses Black Shirt fascist tactics to oppose fascism supposedly, the Left uses repression, censorship, and ostracism to espouse an openly tolerant society fraudulently.

Antonio Sabato, Jr. took the biggest risk of his career four years ago. He didn’t gain 50 lbs. for a role or hide his handsome visage under layers of makeup. He threw his support behind real estate mogul Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. Sabato even praised Trump from the Republican National Convention stage. The former “Melrose Place” star’s career cratered soon after. Here’s what he told Variety this week: “I had to sell everything,” Sabato reveals in a phone interview with Variety from his new home in Florida. “I had to pay all my debts. I was blacklisted. All my representatives left me, from agents to managers to commercial agents. I literally had to move, find a new job to survive and take care of my kids. It’s been terrible. It’s mind-blowing. It’s a disgrace. It’s tough, because if you’re in that environment in Hollywood and you have something to say that they don’t like, they’re going to let you know.” Sound familiar? It should. Right-leaning stars routinely hide their political leanings for fear of retribution. For years conservative artists gathered under the “Friends of Abe” banner. The once-secretive group let stars who didn’t pledge allegiance to the progressive flag share war stories, bond and network.

George Conway admonishes Schumer over Supreme Court comments, says apology ‘isn’t enough’ | Fox News

George Conway is no fan of the President. It would be fair to say he despises Donald Trump as much as Schumer. But Conway isn’t deaf. And neither are the American People. In a way, I am less bothered by Schumer’s statement than by his refusal to disavow it. On the steps of the Supreme Court, at a political rally where emotion is running high, it is easy to blurt out something stupid and irresponsible. This is particularly true with Schumer, who rarely utters a word in public without a script in front of him. But refusing to own up to it and admit that he blew it is inexcusable and makes one wonder about his original intent.

George Conway, the anti-Trump husband of Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway, admonished Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., for his comments this week allegedly threatening two Supreme Court justices, saying that his Thursday apology “isn’t enough.” In a Washington Post op-ed, Conway broadly condemned Schumer’s comments a day earlier outside the court building. Schumer was at an abortion rally and said Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch had “released the whirlwind” and would “pay the price.” “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” he said. Conway also panned Trump’s previous comments undermining members of the federal judiciary while asking Schumer and all federal officials to do better. “Those were threats, pure and simple,” Conway said of Schumer’s comments, before turning to what he sees as a solution to the problem.

Romney could block Republican subpoena try aimed at the Bidens | Fox News

Enough, already Mitt. If you want to become Democrat, then become a Democrat. You know full well this investigation is warranted. But your hatred of President Trump has clouded your thinking to the point where you are blinded to what’s in the best interests of the country.

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, who faced the scorn of President Trump and fellow Republicans over his vote last month to convict at the Senate impeachment trial, questioned the motivation behind a Republican effort to issue a subpoena related to Hunter Biden and his dealing with Ukraine. “I would prefer that investigations are done by an independent, non-political body,” Romney told the Washington Post. “There’s no question the appearance is not good.” TRUMP SUGGESTS JOE BIDEN IS NOT COMPETENT  Republicans are gearing up for a vote next week in the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that would approve a subpoena aimed at gathering information related to a former Ukrainian diplomat with ties to the consulting firm Blue Star Strategies, Reuters reported. The allegation is that the company used Hunter Biden for access to the State Department. His father was vice president at the time. The Bidens have denied any wrongdoing. Romney’s vote is pivotal. Republicans maintain an 8-to-6 majority in the committee, and if Romney sides with Democrats the result would be a 7-7 tie. “There’s no question but that the appearance of looking into Burisma and Hunter Biden appears political. And I think people are tired of these kinds of political investigations,” Romney said. The committee has been pursuing its investigation into the Bidens since at least November.  The vote is expected next Wednesday. “Joe Biden has never adequately answered these questions,” Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told “The Story with Martha McCallum” this week. “I’ve said repeatedly, if there’s wrongdoing the American people need to understand that. If there is no wrongdoing, or if it’s not significant, the American people need to understand that,” the chairman of the committee said.
