The Florida Highway Patrol said Laurindo, 26, was issued a citation for careless driving. “The result of the crash investigation has determined that Mr. Dos Reis Laurindo was at fault for the collision. Under Florida law, the strongest charge that could be made against him is a ticket issued for careless driving. Mr. Dos Reis Laurindo was issued the ticket last week,” Florida Highway Patrol said. Reis Laurindo is currently being held in federal custody on a visa violation.Driver cited in crash that killed 2 kids, mother, grandmother near Disney
Joe McCarthy is long dead, but Hollywood is working hard to keep his legacy alive. This is just another example of how the Left is anti-freedom, anti-free speech, and anti-diversity. Much like ANTIFA uses Black Shirt fascist tactics to oppose fascism supposedly, the Left uses repression, censorship, and ostracism to espouse an openly tolerant society fraudulently.
Antonio Sabato, Jr. took the biggest risk of his career four years ago. He didn’t gain 50 lbs. for a role or hide his handsome visage under layers of makeup. He threw his support behind real estate mogul Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. Sabato even praised Trump from the Republican National Convention stage. The former “Melrose Place” star’s career cratered soon after. Here’s what he told Variety this week: “I had to sell everything,” Sabato reveals in a phone interview with Variety from his new home in Florida. “I had to pay all my debts. I was blacklisted. All my representatives left me, from agents to managers to commercial agents. I literally had to move, find a new job to survive and take care of my kids. It’s been terrible. It’s mind-blowing. It’s a disgrace. It’s tough, because if you’re in that environment in Hollywood and you have something to say that they don’t like, they’re going to let you know.” Sound familiar? It should. Right-leaning stars routinely hide their political leanings for fear of retribution. For years conservative artists gathered under the “Friends of Abe” banner. The once-secretive group let stars who didn’t pledge allegiance to the progressive flag share war stories, bond and network.Blacklist 2.0: Hollywood Cancels Trump Supporter Sabato – Hollywood in Toto
OK, this was not a paraphrase. We didn’t have an Adam Schiff moment and make this up out of whole cloth to make it say what we wanted it to say. This is the unedited video of what the democratic Senate Majority Leader said on the steps of the Capitol yesterday. It is disgusting and it shows just how far off the cliff the leftists have pushed the Democratic Party.
A fired-up Senator Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., appeared to issue a vague warning toward Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh on Wednesday, during a rally held as the court heard arguments in a high-profile abortion case. At the rally hosted by the Center for Reproductive Rights, Schumer noted that the case, June Medical Services LLC v. Russo, is the first “major” abortion case since President Trump’s court picks have been on the bench. The dispute, dealing with restrictions over who can perform abortions, involves a Louisiana law similar to one in Texas that the court ruled unconstitutional in 2016, before either Trump justice was on the Supreme Court and before conservatives held a 5-4 majority. “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price!” Schumer warned. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”Schumer unloads on Gorsuch, Kavanaugh at abortion rights rally: ‘You will pay the price!’ | Fox News
Well. Super Tuesday is over, and there have been some surprises. Joe Biden had a solid showing and seemed to have beaten back the assault by Bernie Sanders, at least for the moment. The primaries are quite definitely a two-person race now with Biden regaining his status as the front runner. Whether the sudden dropout of Amy Klobuchar and Mayor Pete was engineered by DNC Pressure or political horse-trading by Biden, the gambit paid off. Clearly, late deciders who might have voted for either Klobuchar or Buttigieg showed up anyway and voted overwhelmingly for the former Vice President.
Bloomberg and Warren did exceptionally poorly. Warren finished a distant third in her home state of Massachusetts. If she stays in the race after today she clearly needs an intervention by loved ones. Bloomberg has spent somewhere between seven hundred million and one billion dollars to win American Somoa and a pitful amount of delegates in all the other states where he finished third or worse.
The good thing about being the frontrunner is that it makes it easier to raise money. But it also puts a target on your back. Not that Biden has much to worry about in terms of winning the nomination. But it will be interesting to see how Biden acquits himself in what will largely be a one on one debate with Sanders on March 15 in Phoenix.
Of course, two weeks is an eternity at this stage of the campaign. Still, I think Sanders’s utterly stupid defense of Fidel Castro when given a chance to clarify earlier remarks has given his opposition a soundbite that keeps on giving. On the other hand, Biden needs to stop being such a gaff machine. This aspect of his personality becomes less appealing the closer he gets to be the one in charge of the nuclear football.
There is one other thing that had an impact on Bernie’s numbers yesterday. Many of that vaunted age demographic he is so popular with, those 18-29 years of age, did not show up. Dealing with this age group in the business world, I can tell you they are mostly lazy and unreliable when it comes to doing what it takes to get things done. Attending rallies with your friends is exciting and fun. But drag yourself away from the video games and texts and sexts and videos to vote? That’s the boring part someone else should be doing. And that could be Bernies’ biggest problem going forward.
The FISA court needs to be either reformed and made accountable or it should be disbanded. It’s very existence is at best Constitutionally questionable. But nothing is likely to happen in this Congressional session as spying on American citizens who oppose them is how some of these career politicians maintain their grip on power.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, says it is time to make certain the FBI can’t ever spy on a presidential campaign again. Lee made his comments in a column posted Tuesday on the Fox News website. “The FBI improperly spied on the Trump campaign in 2016,” he wrote. “We must ensure the bureau can’t do it in 2020 or ever again. Because if the FBI can unfairly target a presidential campaign, imagine what it can do to regular Americans. “Here’s how we know what happened. In December, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a 478-page report detailing over a dozen ‘serious performance failures’ in the FBI’s use of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to intercept the communications of President Trump’s campaign supporters. Horowitz identified ‘at least 17 significant errors or omissions’ in the applications to spy on Trump campaign official Carter Page.”Sen. Mike Lee: Congress Must Reform FISA Court Now | Newsmax.com
Amy and Mayor Pete dropped out of the race yesterday and endorsed Joe Biden. No surprise there, except perhaps in the timing. Whether there was a deal made or there was severe pressure from the Party elite, it is impossible to tell at this point. Elizabeth Warren is still in the race, apparently with the party’s blessing, both because she is no threat to take the nomination and because she takes votes away from Bernie. How she can justify to herself staying in the race at this point testifies both to her colossal ego and her capacity for self-delusion.
Interestingly, the fly in the ointment here is the one brought in by the top Commissars in the Party, Mike Bloomberg. He was supposed to be the safety valve, one with wads of cash. Now it seems he just might upset the Biden applecart, splitting the liberal vote and handing Sanders a plurality of delegates by this time tomorrow. Maybe not. But it will be interesting to see how the establishment members of the Democratic Party Politbureau react.
For the real powers in the DNC, it is all about control. They have already lost control of the House. Not to Republicans but rather to their radical left-wing base. They are not taking that situation lying down, though, as more and more stories emerge about Omar’s alleged incestuous marriage and immigration fraud. They would not be able to primary AOC out of the way. But there have been stories already floated that in the redistricting that takes place after the census causes NY to lose a House seat, hers might be the one to go poof!
What a difference a day makes. By this time tomorrow, we will have many questions answered, but those answers are likely to generate new and more exciting questions. Buckle up. This is going to be a bumpy ride!
Don’t bother to check the facts before you shoot your mouth off. Bloomberg may be new to the left but he is learning the tactics.
CBS host Scott Pelley fact-checked Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg on air after the former New York City mayor tried to claim that President Donald Trump described the coronavirus outbreak as a “hoax.”
“I find it incomprehensible that the president would do something as inane as calling it a ‘hoax’ which he did last night in South Carolina,” Bloomberg said when Pelley introduced the topic during a “60 Minutes” interview set to run Sunday evening.
“He said that the Democrats making so much of it is a Democratic hoax, not that the virus is a hoax,” Pelley responded.
Not seeming to understand what the CBS host was getting at, Bloomberg pressed on. “This is up to the scientists and the doctors as to whether there is a problem,” he continued. “They all, around the world, say that it is in some places, and has enormous potential to become one elsewhere. And it is just ignorant and irresponsible to not stand up and be the leader and say, ‘We don’t know, but we have to prepare for the fact that, if it is, we have the medicines and the structure and the knowledge to deal with it.’”CBS’s Scott Pelley Fact-Checks Mike Bloomberg On Trump Coronavirus Comment | The Daily Caller
