Ocasio-Cortez faces primary challenge from second-generation Queens immigrant

You start a brand new job and then immediately begin dissing the boss who just happens to be one the most powerful women in the United States. Did you really think Fancy Nancy was going to just grin and bear it?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., will have to get through a primary challenger if she wants to hold on to her seat in 2020. Democratic activist Badrun Khan, who has challenged Ocasio-Cortez for the Democratic nomination to represent New York’s 14th district. says on her website that she’ll provide “REAL Results… Not Empty Promises” — an apparent jab at the socialist darling. When asked about Khan’s challenge, Ocasio-Cortez said: “I just focus on delivering for my district and doing the best job. I try not to focus too much on other folks in the field,” according to The Hill. Khan filed her statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Committee in July. The website for New York City’s government confirms that Khan serves on Queens Community Board 2.

More pearls of “wisdom” from @AOC

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed a “Straight Pride” parade in Boston on Saturday and what she said appeared to be a lack of women, calling it an “I-Struggle-With-Masculinity” parade.
“For men who are allegedly so ‘proud’ of being straight, they seem to show real incompetence at attracting women to their event,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote along with a retweet of footage from the march. “Seems more like a ‘I-Struggle-With-Masculinity’ parade to me.’”

The “Straight Pride” parade was met with counter-protests and reportedly led to a handful of officers suffering injuries and almost three dozen arrests. The controversial rally held in the downtown area led to a clash between Super Happy Fun America, the group that organized the parade, and protesters who criticized the event as homophobic.

There are two pictures from the opposing sides at this demonstration. One is a bunch of people smiling and happy and generally having a good time and no one seems to find it necessary to hide their identity. Can you tell who is who?

It seems to me that if you find it necessary to hide your face then perhaps even you realize what horses rear end you look like.

Is the Electoral College fair or a scam as @aoc contends?

The genius of the electoral college-and the make-up of the Senate for that matter-is that it helps to prevent a tyranny of a concentrated majority imposing their will on a widely diverse country. With States Rights being increasingly eroded by the tendency to legislate through regulation in Washington, which will likely pick up steam again one President Trump leaves office, it is really the only remaining protection smaller population states have against the tyranny of an elitist class in DC, California and New York inflicting their will, values and opinions on he rest of the country.
