Biden fights for survival in South Carolina primary, Sanders looks to extend winning streak | Fox News

I am looking forward to the results tonight. Joe Biden doesn’t just have to win, he needs to win bug.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A confident Joe Biden says he’s “very optimistic” about his chances to win the Democratic nomination. The former vice president told reporters on Saturday morning that he’s “optimistic not just about today” but about “the whole process from here on out.” Biden spoke to reporters soon after voting got underway in South Carolina, the first Southern state to weigh in on the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. For the one-time unrivaled front-runner in the Democratic nomination race, a victory is essential as the future of his White House bid is on the line. And Biden predicted that “the bigger the win” in South Carolina, “the bigger the bump” he’ll get going into the 14 Super Tuesday states that hold contests in three days. Biden predicted that a strong win in South Carolina will “put me in a position to do well in North Carolina and Alabama and other states that I think in the Democratic primary I can do very well.”

Beginning Of The End For Sanders?

I know. Bernie is surging in the polls. Biden looks out of Gas. The race in South Carolina, which Biden was supposed to win handily, is now within reach for Sanders. But Bernie is no longer the amusing left wingnut sideshow he once was. He is on track to take down the Democratic Party as their nominee. While at the moment it seems that there is no way to stop him, the long knives are out for the socialist interloper. The Party lapdogs in the MSM are already attacking him with the type of vitriol and venom usually reserved for President Trump.

Interviews are appearing all of a sudden showing Sanders defending some of the vilest dictators the world has ever known. When he is finally challenged on just how he plans on paying for what the Socialist Senator is proposing, he has no idea. His Medicare for all boondoggle will cost 30 trillion dollars by his own reckoning, which tells me the cost would be much higher. When pushed on the cost of this and the rest of his plan, he gives a vague disingenuous answer that it will be less than the cost of the current system.

Of course, most thinking people know that Bernie is a fraud. And he is not even a very convincing fraud. He has been able to peddle his idiotic proposals with the blessings of the DNC for some time. They were able to swat him aside with the Hillary Clinton cudgel in 2016. But Joe Biden, who was supposed to fulfill that role in this election cycle, isn’t up to the task.

Watch for the emergence of more realistic analyses of what Bernie is proposing in the now unleashed press. Watch for the attacks on the debate stage, not only from the other candidates but from the moderators. Bloomberg took much of the fire that would have been directed at the frontrunner in the last debate. But everyone will have their marching orders. It will be amusing to watch.

Sleepy Joe Does It Again

I had to listen it again on my computer because I wasn’t sure I heard it right the first time. Joe Biden actually said that “when it comes to decisions, the details don’t matter. It is somewhat disconcerting that someone who wants to be leader of the Free World thinks that details should not inform decisions. It does explain, however, how he manages to be on the wrong side of just about every foreign policy decision for the past 30 years. The same approach to decision making among his supporters also helps to explain why he still has any although the rather sad quality of the current alternatives to his candidacy.

It does beg the question, however, that if the details don’t matter then what does? How do you make decisions? Flip a coin? Draw lots? Tarot Cards? Eeney, meeny, miny mo? The media keeps giving this guy a pass but frankly the thought of this buffoon in the oval office is just scary.

I used to think that no one could ever make Jimmy Carter look good by comparison and then along came Obama. The only thing I liked about Obama was that he stayed in office long enough to keep crazy Uncle Joe out. Who knew that the Democratic Party would be in such disarray that the likes of Joe Biden is being touted as the one safe choice that can save the party from itself.
