Its Really Getting Old

Impeach! Resign! Racist! Abuse of Power! This is all the Democrats know. There is no longer any such thing as a policy disagreement. Every action the President takes, whether they secretly agree with it or not, has to be condemned in the harshest terms. One example is the takin out of Solemieni. He was nothing more and nothing less than an enemy combatant in a war. A war declared on us by Iran. But the Democrats and much of the media have treated more a martyr than the vile, disgusting, murderous human being he was.

The latest meltdown is happening now over what in normal times would be a routine administrative function of the Attorney General. Roger Stone was prosecuted only because of his association with Donald Trump. The way he was arrested is typical of how the left likes to use an overwhelming show of force when it suits their purpose.

Mr. Stone posed no physical threat, but a heavily armed swat team showed up at his house like they were taking down Pablo Escobar. They also tipped off CNN so they could film how it took ten heavily armed paramilitary police troops to take down one unarmed older man and his deaf wife. This is the stuff of Klingon drinking songs. I think if anyone got a papercut doing the paperwork on this, they would have added assaulting a police officer to the charges.

After a rigged trial with an anti-Trump Judge and a virulently anti-Trump jury foreperson, Stone was convicted. No surprise here. That is what Kangaroo Courts are supposed to do. Unlike the one incompetently presided over by Nancy Pelosi, this one functioned as designed.

The prosecutors, drunk with power after foisting this charade on the court, decided to offer a sentencing recommendation of seven to nine years.  This is triple what normal sentencing guidelines would justify. Attorney General Barr, in his function as the head of the Justice Dept and those prosecutors’ boss, wanted the recommendation to be more in line with legal norms.

It just so happens that on the night before Barr made public that he wanted a more reasonable sentencing recommendation, the President took to Twitter. In that tweet, President Trump expressed his displeasure with the seven to nine-year situation. The left lost its mind. Four prosecutors who disagreed with the decision of their boss resigned — good riddance, in my opinion. Pelosi and Schumer are clamoring for investigations and trying to take any opportunity they can to interfere with the 2020 elections. Not surprising when you consider the comedy of errors in their party as they fumble and stumble around for a leader.

Adam Schiff Shares His Takeaways. I Share Mine.

Schiff: Trump’s lawyers cannot, and did not defend him on the facts.

Me: There were no facts. You produced not one single witness with direct first-hand knowledge of anything even remotely impeachable. But this wasn’t about facts.

Schiff: Their defense has evolved to this: he did it, so what?

Me: What he did was entirely within the law and is not even remotely impeachable. So again, So What?

Schiff: His lawyers strengthened our case that the Senate must hear from Bolton.

Me: No, they pointed out that you should have fought to have Bolton testify in your Kangaroo Court in the House. The President would invoke Executive Privilege, and then you would have the opportunity to challenge that claim in court. Instead, you chose to try to bully and shame the Senate into doing the job you were too stupid, incompetent, and lazy to do yourself.

Schiff: A fair trial requires key witnesses.

Me: A fair trial also requires due process. You presided over an absurdity that barely gave a passing nod to that imperative.

Schiff: Will America have one?

Me: Not if you and your henchmen get your way.
